Bauman diagnosed the problem, gave me the actual cost to repair, and was fixed very quickly and the car runs better than ever. They are highly professional and knowledgeable in their field.

Scheduled my 8am appointment ahead of time for Saturday service to have free-on put in my car. The staff explained the process to me and I was out the door a happy camper in less than 30 minutes. Great service!

On Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:45PM, my car battery died while I was downtown. I called my long time automobile 'life line' Ken's Texaco and asked for assistance. Lee answered the phone and, after conferring with Randall, and within 15 minutes, Fred was there to give my battery the jump start I needed. It is important to understand that Ken's closes at 2PM on Saturdays. When called Randall and told him Fred got me running, Randall said he would stay open until got there to help me out. So, I hobbled to Ken's Texaco. As soon as I arrived, Randall, Lee, and Tony were there waiting to assist. (Tony even recalled transmission work he had done on my car ...last November!!)Making a long story short, within 15 minutes I had a new battery, my car was running again, and I was on my way.WOW! They stayed open late just to help me out. Not only that, but it must also me noted that other people drove up wanting gas or other services. It was truly blessed to see how, by this time, everyone was still being treated with kindness and provided service. Not once did I hear any of the Ken's Texaco staff say "we're closed". No one was turned away, and the day was a very hot sumer day in San Antonio. Having been raised in a small town in Iowa, I know "down home" service. That is exactly what i received from Randall and the Ken's Texaco crew and, as always, at competitive prices. That is also why I continue to happily write good reviews and give them my business. The question below this review asks how likely is it that I would recommend Ken's Texaco to a friend or colleague. My answer is that I have already done so to several people, and before I received this email requesting my feedback. In all of San Antonio, the 8th largest city in the US, there is only one place I want to take my car, and that is to the 'people' of Ken's Texaco. Thank you Randall, Lee, Tony, and Fred. While I can only rate them a 10, for what I experienced on this day, they deserve a 12.
